Before the summer of 1973, area undertakers performed local ambulance services. Due to rising costs undertakers were no longer able to continue ambulance service and "steps were taken to formulate plans for an all-volunteer, non-profit, community-oriented program".
Continuing to put our Community First, South Seneca Ambulance members strive to provide the services that our founders envisioned 50 years ago. While technology, ambulances, and medical techniques have changed, our members' dedication towards our communities has not.
Looking towards the future of an ever-changing emergency services landscape, volunteers, donations, and overall community support will continue to be at the forefront of our agency's needs.
We are working with local historians to gather a complete history of our service.
